Antonio Tessitore
General Manager
Antonio Tessitore has worked as an administrator for producing and presenting organizations in the non-profit sector for twenty-five years, and his ongoing enthusiasm for such groups continues to be informed a strong appreciation for performance that is part of the heritage of his earlier training as classical vocalist.
As General Manager for Perspectives Ensemble since the 1999/2000 season, he is responsible for all administrative aspects of ongoing operations, including financial records, budgeting, planning, and accounting; and also participates in development and fundraising from public, private, and government sectors. He organizes, implements, and oversees all aspects of production coordination for the full range of Perspectives Ensemble events.
He has previously held similar positions with Boston Lyric Opera, Boston Academy of Music, and the Caramoor International Festival of Music. In addition to his current association with Perspectives Ensemble, he is also the General Manager of L’Opéra Français de New York, a position he has held since the 1992/1993 season and one that has provided him with the challenges and satisfactions of successfully nurturing and developing one of New York City’s most respected operatic enterprises. |
